REKON CULTURAL GROUP
A UNIQUE CULTURAL EXPERIENCE
REKON recognises the need for young people to know their cultural roots.
By engaging in cultural workshops in a safe environment, the youth are able to learn more about their culture, allowing them to have a strong sense of identity and self worth.
REKON offers FREE workshops delivered throughout the school term.
The participants will learn dances and songs and stories from different Pacific Island nations, and they will perform at organised events including the RISE UP event held at MCC.
The group is open to anyone from the age of 12-18 to join.
